Use of DAML in JBI - slide "Technical Approach"

use DAML+OIL rather than plain XML for JBI metadata
update the JBI Publish/Subscribe implementation provided in the CoABS Grid
- allows interoperability with SONAT Agents, ESG Enabling Experiments, CoAX, etc.
possible steps
1. match on DAML statements (including rdf:type values)
2. dynamically load ontologies
3. allow for some contextual knowledge in addition to metadata and ontologies
  - unit reporting hierarchy
4. incorporate some level of inference for class/property hierarchies, transitive properties, etc.
  - FaCT
  - Java Theorem Prover (JTP)
  - Jena DAML+OIL and/or upcoming inference layers
  - specific local expansions
5. investigate DAML Query Language (DQL) matches
integrate into the September 2002 SONAT demonstration
