You are probably aware of the work on an RDF Geo Vocabulary... http://esw.w3.org/topic/GeoInfo and http://www.w3.org/2003/01/geo/ It is simple and just relates to points specified by Lat/Long/Alt - but even that can be very useful. A similar simple lat/long/alt specification is proposed in the Jabber XML instant messaging/presence extensions related to geographical positioning (JEP-0080) - See http://www.jabber.org/jeps/jep-0080.html Austin Tate -- Prof. Austin Tate, Artificial Intelligence Applications Institute, Informatics, University of Edinburgh, Appleton Tower, Crichton Street, Edinburgh EH8 9LE, UK Tel: +44 131 650 2732 Fax: +44 131 650 6513 E-mail: [email protected]
