All, This is the last reminder that the Hotel Reservation Deadline for the DAML PI Meeitng is next Tuesday, April 27, 2004. There are a number of people who have registered on-line for the meeting, but have not yet made hotel reservations. Also, many people who usually attend have yet to register on-line or make hotel reservations. The hotel will probably not be able to extend the deadline date (it is New York, after all), so please make your room reservations and register on-line now. Thank you. It will be held at The Westin New York at Time Square in New York City on Tuesday and Wednesday, 25-26 May, 2004. These dates were chosen to minimize the total travel "away" times for those attending the DAML PI meeting as well as the Semantic Web Services Initiative (SWSI) Face-to-Face (F2F) Meeting (23-24 May) and WWW2004 Conference (17-22 May). Attendance is open to the DAML and W3C communities, as well as to prospective government user organizations. Requests for other attendees should be addressed to Cola Atkinson (703-284-1313, [email protected]), Jack Howard (703-516-6021, [email protected]) or me. Significant meeting goals are to review program and performer progress to date with respect to the 4 thrust areas that I outlined in the last meeting, assess the strategy for bringing the DAML program to a successful conclusion, and help me come up with a structure and set of goals for a potential follow-on program to DAML. I will provide additional guidance on agenda and briefing preparation in another message. A web site providing additional information and on-line registration is available at the URL below. The site is password protected. Please do not distribute the password information outside the DAML and W3C communities unless approved by me. Username: daml2004 Password: d*ny3 https://www.schafertmd.com/daml2004/ <https://www.schafertmd.com/daml2004/> Technology demonstrations will be conducted the evening of Tuesday, 25 May. Demonstrations are encouraged, however, only new demonstrations and those demonstrations from the previous PI meeting which have shown significant progress should be presented. (That is, if your demo has not changed significantly from the last meeting, please do not demo it at this meeting.) Also, unless your demonstration is completely in OWL, don't even bother. Please contact Jack Howard with your requirements (number of tables, easels, internet connectivity, etc.) for your demonstration. A wireless LAN with internet connectivity will be available for the general sessions and for the demonstrations, however, each attendee should bring his/her own wireless LAN card (802.11b compatible). Please don't hesitate to contact Jack or myself if you have any questions or suggestions about the meeting. See you there! Mark Dr. Mark Greaves DARPA IXO 3701 N.
