Joint US/EU ad hoc Agent Markup Language Committee

The Joint United States / European Union ad hoc Agent Markup Language Committee (referred to internally as the Joint Committee) was created in October 2000 by Jim Hendler of DARPA and Hans-Georg Stork of the European Union Information Society Technologies Programme (IST).

The committee has produced DAML+OIL, DQL, and SWRL.

The committee operates in a semi-open manner: Committee telecons are closed, but minutes of committee meetings and other artifacts are publicly available. Telecon agendas and other administrative matters are discussed on the [email protected] email list (archives). DAML Language technical discussions generally take place on the public [email protected] email list (archives).
