is a representation of the
Periodic Table of the Elements
in the
OWL Web Ontology Language.
It provides reference data
to support Semantic Web applications in chemistry and related disciplines.
Author
Michael Cook, then of
BBN Technologies
in San Diego,
developed an initial representation in
DAML+OIL.
This was converted to OWL and is now maintained by
Mike Dean.
