Just to give you an overall feel for the overall view of military users of the Semantic Web, the concept of transition of the various elements of the program are two-fold.
The primary concept is to develop web-based language, tools, and services that will become commercial standards and come into widespread usage via endorsement and participation of the W3C and web standards communities.  Like other web standards this will flow to the military users in the way that COTS software items are flowing to military on a continuing basis.
In order to both facilitate early military usage of DAML, to get feedback to developers from military users, and to justify the military utility of the program for the DoD sponsor, early adopters of the technology have been encouraged to use the technology even as it is emerging.  The Horus Project, through the visionary guidance of Intelink Management Office, was the first, and several other users noted here on this slide are venturing to use the technologies, you’ve heard from the Navy this morning of their interest.
The SWMU group was formed to provide all mil users and those with great interest in the technology a forum for learning from one-another, sharing experiences, and feeding to developers.  We’ve had two meetings so far and a third is planned.
