| 1) SANDPIPER is a GUI tool
for developing ontologies, rather than a run-time translator. We might want to use Teknowledge's DAML Semantic Search Service and/or Jena for run-time translation. 2) During the BOF, Lee Lacy told me that Anteon had XML'ized the Navy Doctrine rather than the Lessons Learned (my mistake). We hope to visit soon with Ron Bogel (sp?)'s folks who maintain the Lessons Learned database, so I think the basic plan to DAMLize this content is still viable. We wouldn't have the head start with XML, but would probably have fewer organizations to coordinate with. |
