Issues Discussed Overview of EU Web Services Modeling Framework Comparisons with industry efforts where is DAML-S value added? How to get DAML-S adopted/promoted? Outstanding Technical Issues Action Items

How to get DAML-S adopted/used? Need to justify ‘value added’ vs current industry efforts What can be done better, more automatically by adding DAML-S capabilities to web service advertisements? Use of matchmakers, semantics of inputs, preconditions and effects to link services Will developers be capable of adequately defining their services at the ‘knowledge level’? What kinds of support will be needed? Develop  a set of use cases, implement a set of working DAML-S enabled service examples support a set of experiments to measure performance improvements vs industry efforts at service standards Make clearer the relationships/value added by demonstrating integration with UDDI, WSDL, etc. Comparison with additional industry efforts (e2open, WSFL) Greater W3C involvement (interactions with new services WGs)

Complete development of tools for describing DAML-S advertisements and process models Implement groundings for HTTP, CoABS GRID, FIPA Use [email protected] for feedback, discussions on DAML-S design and implementation issues.
