		<paragraph>
		DAML is a new DARPA initiative. It will formally commense with a kickoff meeting scheduled for 14-16 August 2000 in the Boston area.
		The initial competition phase of DAML has been completed and an integration contractor and fifteen technology contractors have been
		selected (see DAML Researchers). The kickoff meeting is for selected DAML researchers only; however, significant information from the
		kickoff meeting will be published on DAML.org.
