	WonderWeb has been awarded Ian: summary - infrastructure for
	the semantic web (slogan) ...  5 academic centers ... will
	produce a kind of complete ontology design kit for the
	semantic web.  Standardization?  Yes, of some kind :) For more
	information semanticweb.org or eu site (from joint committee
	website...)

	RuleML 0.8 has been released 

	Pat Hayes and Sergey Melnik have joined the W3C RDF Core
	Working Group as invited experts

OntoWeb Kickoff Meeting (Mike, Ian, Frank, Peter)

	What is ontoWeb?  It's a network of excellence ... a pot of
	money for people to use to talk to each other (workshops,
	travelling)

	DAML+OIL was featured in many conversations ... many people
	seemed to accept DAML+OIL as the defacto from which to work
	...
	
	Comment about the "look" (syntax) of the language?  "Looks like Machine
	Code" ... definately a general request to improve this.

	Talking about Topic Maps ... two factions.  regarding the
	exact graph models ...

	Another change ... what are all the properties that are
	relevant to a particular class?  A frame type idea ... people
	are hoping that this can be injected back into the language.

		This was originally build into the description
		language used for the Gealin (?) project.
		Paper: pointer will be sent around
	
	DAML-S was regarded as an important development. 

Collections as Properties (Jim, et al)
	    Deferred until Jim is available. 

should we have another Face-to-Face Meeting?

  DAML PI Meeting in Nashua?  Semantic Web Workshop at Stanford?

  Best bet .. Tuesday before PI Meeting in Nashua, NH (July 17th)
