Joint US/EU ad hoc Agent Markup Language Committee

The Joint United States / European Union ad hoc Agent Markup Language Committee (referred to internally as the Joint Committee) was created in October 2000 by Jim Hendler of DARPA and Hans-Georg Stork of the European Union Information Society Technologies Programme (IST).

The committee has produced DAML+OIL, DQL, and SWRL.

The committee operates in a semi-open manner: Committee telecons are closed, but minutes of committee meetings and other artifacts are publicly available. Telecon agendas and other administrative matters are discussed on the email list (archives). DAML Language technical discussions generally take place on the public email list (archives).
