CVS Log in DAML

This page contains an cvslog-ont ontology (dumpont) and supporting code to generate DAML+OIL (March 2001) from a Concurrent Versions Systems (CVS) history log.

We currently statically process a single CVS history file.

We convert timestamps into XML Schema timeInstant types.

We currently process only Add and Modify events.

We append a local domain name to convert user names into mailto: URIs.

We don't currently generate rdf:IDs for events.

The File, Module, and User classes in cvslog-ont are placeholders for possible future work.

The following files are available for download:

generate Module, File, and User instances (and link them to Events). How should these be named?
include log messages from ,v files
consider generating from the CVS repository directory structure rather than the history file
consider generating DAML on demand (due to the potentially significant content size)
integrate into cvsweb as suggested in the Tools Wishlist
